The Story of Mahinsure
Mahinsure is a DPIIT-recognized femcare and reproductive wellness startup founded and led by Jayanthi Durairajan, driven by a simple belief—that every woman deserves safe, science-backed, and sustainable healthcare throughout her reproductive journey.
Backed by the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) through Vishnu Foundation Technology Business Incubator (TBI), Bhimavaram, Mahinsure is developing next-generation women's healthcare solutions that combine modern medical science, biotechnology, and nature-inspired innovation to improve reproductive wellness across every stage of life.
Our innovation journey has been strengthened by leading startup ecosystems, including Vishnu Foundation Technology Business Incubator (TBI), Bhimavaram; AIC-RAISE (Nano Biotechnology), Coimbatore; I-Venture @ ISB, Hyderabad; and BVRITH, Hyderabad. Mahinsure has also been recognized through prestigious startup support programmes, including the MSME Idea Hackathon 5.0 by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India; the NSRCEL–IIM Bangalore Women Startup Programme (WSP 5.0); and the Cherie Blair Foundation Global Mentoring Programme for Women Entrepreneurs.
Beginning with BIS-certified organic cotton sanitary pads, Mahinsure is building a comprehensive reproductive wellness portfolio that addresses women’s evolving health needs—from menarche to menopause and beyond. Our product ecosystem is expanding to support every stage of reproductive health through science-led femcare products, preventive healthcare solutions, educational initiatives, and sustainable innovations that enhance women’s health, comfort, and quality of life.

Mahinsure’s Organic Bamboo Sanitary Pads are made with your comfort in mind. Bamboo fibre has many micro-gaps, making it softer than cotton and improving its ability to absorb moisture; as a result, the pads are naturally soft, incredibly absorbent, and leak-proof.
Mahinsure’s bamboo fibre pads are naturally deodorized, hypoallergenic, antibacterial, and antifungal, and also free of synthetic perfumes and toxins. These characteristics prevent the pads from causing rashes, infections, or irritation. Now, “Mahinsure” users are free of those unpleasant past memories.
The sanitary pads are wrapped in single-use packages that are easy to discard and friendly to the environment. Mahinsure makes sure you’re completely at ease on your period.

Mahinsure Personal Care Products are meticulously crafted from raw materials that are all-natural, toxin-free, and sustainable. The top layer of the Sanitary Pad is made of certified organic bamboo fibre; the middle layers are air-laid paper made of pulped wood, and the bottom layer is a thin hydrophobic layer of starch. In the core, a thin paper that is entirely biodegradable serves as the superabsorbent polymer. Between the foundation layer and the plant-based, non-sticky release paper, a secure, non-toxic adhesive is used. The pads are covered in a recyclable plant-based wrapper. Briefly stated, Mahinsure pads break down & compost in 152 days.
Additionally, the pads come with specific disposable bags, which reduce water and air pollution and make it simpler for sanitation staff to separate feminine hygiene waste.
Sustainability is our way of life, not just a choice
Bamboo is one of the most resilient and adaptive grasses on the planet and grows faster with relatively little energy. Compared to a tree of equivalent mass, bamboo produces 35% more oxygen and absorbs more carbon dioxide. Bamboo that has been harvested quickly regenerates from the roots, preventing soil erosion. Thus, Mahinsure picked Bamboo Fiber for its Sanitary Pads.
We are nature lovers and provide natural, well-made products from start to finish. So, while you bleed and throw away used pads safely, you have already saved the atmosphere with 100 grams of more oxygen and said NO to 5 fewer plastic bags worth of micro-plastics than the regular pads on the market would have created on earth.
